User Data Deletion

You can ask Light Cloud, Inc. to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page explains what we hold, how to ask, and what happens next. It also serves as the data deletion instructions for the Light Cloud apps registered with Meta (Facebook, Instagram and Threads), X, LinkedIn, Google and the other platforms we publish to.

1. What we may hold about you

Depending on how you have interacted with us, this can include:

  • Your Light Cloud account: name, email address, organisation, billing details and the resources you deploy
  • Website interactions: contact form messages, newsletter sign-ups, analytics events
  • Social platform connections: if you connected a Facebook Page, Instagram, Threads or other social account to our tools, the access token and the public profile or page identifier needed to publish on your behalf. We do not collect data about your followers or other people from these platforms

2. How to request deletion

Pick whichever applies to you. One is enough.

  1. Light Cloud account: sign in to the console, open Settings → Account and choose Delete account. Your workspaces, deployments, databases and personal data are removed.
  2. Facebook, Instagram or Threads: open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites (or Instagram / Threads → Settings → Website permissions), remove Light Cloud, then send us a request below so we also delete the stored token and identifiers on our side.
  3. X, LinkedIn, Google (YouTube), TikTok, Pinterest, Tumblr: revoke Light Cloud in that platform's connected apps settings, then send us a request below.
  4. Everything else, or if you cannot sign in: use the contact form or email hello@light-cloud.com with the subject "Data deletion request" from the email address linked to your data. Tell us which platform or account the request concerns.

3. What happens next

  • We confirm receipt within 3 business days and may ask you to verify that you own the account or email address.
  • We delete the data within 30 days of the verified request, including social platform tokens and identifiers, and we revoke the tokens with the platform where its API allows.
  • We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and tax records, for the period the law sets, and nothing else.
  • We send you a confirmation when the deletion is complete.
