# Labs · Light Cloud

> Open-source experiments from Light Cloud. ICE is a visual editor for cloud infrastructure, its blocks are the building units, and templates are ready-made compositions. Apache 2.0, no telemetry.

Labs is the open-source side of Light Cloud. The managed platform ships your web app on our infrastructure. Labs is the code you run yourself: ICE deploys to your own cloud accounts, and the whole project is Apache 2.0. Two ways to work, one team behind them.

## The core

- **ICE.** A visual editor for cloud infrastructure. Drag blocks onto a canvas, connect them, preview the cost, and deploy to your own cloud accounts. https://light-cloud.com/labs/ice
- **Blocks.** The building units. Provider-neutral primitives like Postgres, Static Site, Queue, and Secret Store. Each one compiles to a real service per cloud. https://light-cloud.com/labs/blocks
- **Templates.** Ready-made canvases you copy and edit. A template is just a composition of blocks, so anything it produces you could also build by hand. https://light-cloud.com/labs/templates

## More in Labs

- **Providers.** GCP today. AWS and Azure in progress. https://light-cloud.com/labs/providers
- **AI assistant.** Claude edits the canvas from plain English. https://light-cloud.com/labs/ai
- **Import infra.** Scan an existing GCP project into a canvas. https://light-cloud.com/labs/import
- **Cost prediction.** See the monthly bill before you apply. https://light-cloud.com/labs/cost-prediction
- **Migration.** Retarget a canvas to another cloud. https://light-cloud.com/labs/migration

## Free and open

ICE Community Edition is free, single-user by design, and available on macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus the web. No telemetry, no license keys. Source and releases are on GitHub: https://github.com/light-cloud-com/ice.
